The Ushers and Greeters Ministry plays a vital role in shaping the worship experience from the moment someone steps through the church doors. They are the first faces people see and the warm welcome that sets the tone for everything that follows.

Purpose & Mission

To serve as ambassadors of hospitality, love, and order within the church—making everyone feel seen, valued, and at home in the house of God.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warm Welcome: Greeters joyfully welcome members and visitors with a smile, handshake, or kind word—helping people feel comfortable and at ease.

  • Seating & Flow: Ushers help guide people to their seats, manage the flow of traffic, and ensure that services run smoothly and respectfully.

  • Assistance: They provide support for those who need help finding restrooms, classrooms, or other areas of the church.

  • Distributing Materials: Handing out bulletins, programs, or other materials needed for worship.

  • Collecting Offerings: Assisting in the orderly and secure collection of tithes and offerings.

  • Special Services: Supporting funerals, weddings, and other events by maintaining order and offering hospitality.

Spiritual Importance

Though their work may seem behind-the-scenes or practical, Ushers and Greeters are frontline ministers of kindness, order, and care. Their attentiveness can ease nervous first-time visitors, provide dignity in sacred moments, and create an atmosphere of peace and worship.

They are the hands and feet of Christ—serving quietly but powerfully.
